Harsh Gupta is a lawyer by degree but a businessman by profession—“because if you’re a Baniya, business is a must!” Like a typical Indian father, he deeply loves his family but never shows it openly. Finding faults in everything is part of his daily routine, but he also teaches important life lessons. However, there's one role his kids love the most—Best Chef! The food he cooks is life for both Bhavika and Hriday. When it comes to studies, he switches into strict Hitler mode, but when it’s time for fun, teasing mom is his favorite pastime! He has only one dream for his kids—“Both should achieve something big in life!”

Archi Gupta is a typical Indian mom—overprotective and an extreme overthinker when it comes to her children. She always feels like all the world’s disasters are just waiting to happen to her kids (like every Indian mom feels). She’s basically done a PhD in scaring her kids with “Wait till your dad comes home, I’ll tell him everything you did!” Her day starts with prayers and ends with taunts from grandma. She doesn’t get along with her mother-in-law at all, even though grandma herself had chosen her as a daughter-in-law. She’s always irritated with her husband because he never listens, and her go-to dialogue for him is—“If someone else were in my place, she would've left you by now!” Yet, through all this, she loves her family with all her heart. Her biggest struggle? Getting caught between the two kids because they constantly ask—“Mom, who do you love more?”
👦 Hriday Gupta (Younger Brother) →
Hriday Gupta is a 10th-grade student and exactly 3 years, 3 months, and 1 day younger than Bhavika—but looks like her elder brother in height! Bhavika’s only wish was that her younger brother would call her "Didi," but he only uses that word when he needs a favor! Every day he teases Bhavika, fighting is his top priority, and even when Bhavika tries to show him affection, all she gets in return are curses or slaps—because that’s just how he is! He’s the king of mood swings and tantrums, but he’s also super cute and chubby. He’s stingy when it comes to showing love but is a total softie at heart.
👵 Mrs. Pushpanjali Gupta (Grandma) →
Pushpanjali is a widow and a devout devotee of God. But her biggest mission on Earth seems to be throwing taunts—except at her younger son and his wife! She doesn’t love her elder son (Harsh Gupta) as much as her younger son who lives in America. The younger daughter-in-law (who has a job) is her favorite, but she always complains about the elder daughter-in-law (Archi Gupta)—even though she herself had chosen both daughters-in-law! For grandma, there’s only one golden rule—no bad words about her beloved younger son and his wife, but everyone else must be ready to hear taunts.

Uncle and Aunt live in America, are highly successful, and have two adorable children—a 6-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son. They’re grandma’s ultimate favorites! Whenever she feels like it, she keeps singing praises of her younger son and daughter-in-law, and never misses a chance to throw indirect taunts at Harsh Gupta.

Aarav comes from a well-off Punjabi family where there’s love, tradition, and a little bit of pressure. His family believes in “Think big, do big!”—they always push him to achieve great things in life.

Aarav’s father, Rajeev Kapoor, is a successful businessman. His mantra is—“Work hard, and success will follow!” He’s both strict and soft—completely serious when it comes to work, but totally full-on Punjabi at home! He wants to expand the business and carry forward the family legacy, and that’s why he has high hopes for Aarav too. At the same time, he understands his son. His presence in the house gives a boss-like vibe—when he sits, everyone listens!
👩 Mrs. Meera Kapoor →
Aarav’s mother, Meera Kapoor, is the heart of the house. A perfect Punjabi mom who always says—“No matter what happens, my son will be the best!” She’s a homemaker who manages the house and is also Aarav’s emotional support. Whenever Aarav feels a little low, her homemade parathas and lassi fix everything! She loves making food with desi ghee and firmly believes that good food can solve any problem.
👧 Avni Kapoor →
Aarav’s younger sister, Avni Kapoor, is his biggest supporter and biggest enemy rolled into one! They fight every day but can’t live without each other. Avni is bold, stylish, full of attitude but has a heart of gold. Whenever Aarav feels down, she cheers him up with her jokes. She’s his best friend and biggest critic—if Aarav does anything wrong, she’s the first one to call him out! She is in 9th standard.
